CBE Writes $2.8 Million Award Winning Grant!

CBE Educational Services, Inc. was contracted to write a "Safe Schools/Healthy Students" grant in 2007. This grant was awarded to a local Vermont school district for $2,836,000 - ($709,000 per year) over a four year period. When a grant is written, the best possible affirmation is being told: "Your grant is successful!"

Workshops:

You can host CBE’s workshop “Grant Writing through the Eyes of a Grant Reviewer” yourself, with schedules to be worked out mutually.

Pre-Reviews:

CBE will review the grant application you received from the funding source, highlight keywords, and examine the selection criteria. We will then pre-review your written narrative response and pro-vide feedback on how well you met the selection criteria. This does not include review of budgets or appen-dices required, nor does it include editing for grammar or syntax. (Referrals for editing available.)

Mentoring:

CBE offers both research mentoring and consultative mentor-ing. We can help you organize your preliminary efforts and develop the outline of how you ought to proceed, including a clear understanding of what questions you must answer before you begin and while you are preparing a grant application.

I. Consultative Mentoring engages us in a consultative mentoring partnership to address overall project identification to find those keywords that express and develop the big picture. This process would enhance funding selection or narrative content. The process would include mutually framing key concepts that will lead toward narrative content. Additional questions will be developed to identify next steps project.

II. Research Mentoring: Identify and highlight keywords in your grant application within application and electronic submission guidelines. A sharing and exploration of highlighted keywords from the application and exploring what they mean to you in your project.

Grant Research:

CBE can provide grant research specific to your needs. We will search the Web to help find possible funding sources that most closely fit your needs. We offer both a per-hour search and a monthly subscription that delivers at least 4 potential matches every month.

Technical Assistance:

CBE’s staff can guide you through a keyword search in any grant application you supply, to find those essential words you will want to use in writing your narrative. We offer this service by phone or via e-mail.

Grant Meeting Facilitation:

CBE staff will walk you through a brainstorming and strategic planning session to clarify and identify the primary criteria of your grant application. This is based on your having already selected a grant application.
